Changelog

Release notes for the AEC.codes QTO add-in. Newest releases at the top.

0.9.0-beta.580 — 2026-09-06 Public Beta 2

What's new

  • Bill of Quantities (BoQ) Excel export — a new export format with configurable, ordered section grouping, free tier.
  • Unified grouping control in the Export Preview window: one ordered list now drives BoQ sections, XPWE hierarchy and flat-Excel WBS columns consistently, replacing two separate controls that could get out of sync.
  • Export Preview now remembers your last-used output folder across sessions.
  • All export format checkboxes now start unchecked when Export Preview opens, so you always choose explicitly.
  • New Reload button on each price list in QTO Setup — re-imports from the original source file without reopening column mapping.
  • The price lists grid now shows the source format/file for each price list.
  • New categories: Rooms, Areas and MEP Spaces can now be tagged, computed and exported like any other category (Areas are correctly excluded from volume calculations; zero-quantity spatial elements, e.g. an unenclosed room, are flagged rather than silently dropped).
  • QTO Tag: adding a shared item to several already-tagged elements at once is now additive — it no longer overwrites each element's existing data.
  • QTO Tag now warns when a selected element's category will never produce a computed quantity, instead of letting it silently disappear later in Compute/Export/Report.

Fixed

  • A data-loss bug where editing a shared item across several already-tagged elements could silently fail to save the change on some of them.
  • QTO Tag could fail to open entirely for certain selections.
  • The category list did not scroll in the QTO Compute Preview/Results windows.
  • MEP Spaces were sometimes misidentified in export/report output and in the tag parameter list.
  • The "Delete price list" dialog no longer promises a behavior (orphan-flagging) that doesn't exist.
  • The data-source picker in QTO Setup no longer offers dead-end options.
  • The feedback/bug-report button now opens the web form correctly instead of an email client.
  • Revit 2027 removed from installer targets — it was never functional (different .NET runtime) and is now cleanly excluded.
